Join Central Wisconsin PCA for a weekend of cars, boats, food and frivolity!
FRIDAY, JUNE 19
Our fun begins at 12pm at the Dutch Mill Park & Ride where we’ll meet for driving & safety instructions before making our way to the Lake Geneva Museum. *please eat lunch beforehand or bring a snack for in the car; we won’t be stopping for food along the way.
Once at the museum, we’ll walk the brick-paved streets of yesteryear, getting a snapshot of everyday life of “days gone by” with items dating back to 1890. We’ll explore the rich history of Lake Geneva in this self-guided tour lined with exhibits of Native American dwellings, maps, Yerkes Observatory, a one-room schoolhouse, Frank Lloyd Wright hotel, the Playboy Club Resort and much, much more!
Leaving the museum, we’ll head to our hotel to check-in, unpack and get ready for dinner at Tuscan Tavern & Grill. One of the top restaurants in Lake Geneva, Tuscan Tavern & Grill offers top quality steaks, fresh seafood, Italian classic and brick oven pizzas. There’s something for everybody, and they guarantee you won’t leave hungry!
SATURDAY, JUNE 20
Grab your coffee and lace up your sneakers! Saturday morning will begin with a short walk over to Egg Harbor Café where we’ll delight in a delicious home-style breakfast.
Founded in 1985, Egg Harbor Café is a third-generation, family-owned restaurant serving breakfast in a warm and welcoming family-friendly setting. Known for their fresh, high-quality ingredients, they offer a wide variety of breakfast favorites (including gluten-free options), a full barista, and a curated breakfast cocktail menu.
After breakfast, we’ll stroll back to the hotel to freshen up and get ready for the highlight of the day…
Grab your highest SPF, polarized sunglasses, a wide-brim hat and positive attitude – we’re headed to Lake Geneva Cruise Line for a luncheon cruise aboard the Grand Belle! We’ll spend our afternoon cruising around the entire lake while enjoying a delicious sit-down lunch sure to delight even the fussiest of tastebuds!
This relaxing cruise is perfect for unwinding and enjoying everything that a Wisconsin summer afternoon has to offer. As we dine, we’ll take in the beauty of Lake Geneva’s shoreline and listen to our guide tell us about the fascinating stories behind historic estates like the iconic six-home Wrigley compound.
Returning to dock, we’ll regroup and make our way back to our hotel rooms for a little down time to relax and recharge. But don’t get too cozy because the night is young and we’ve got dinner reservations at Lake City Social!
Located in the heart of downtown Lake Geneva, Lake City Social offers fresh and delicious comfort food with a little added modern twist. Their menu features burgers, ribs, pasta, seafood and steaks, along with some unique and tasty specialty appetizers. No matter what you’ve got a hankering for, they’ve got it!
After dinner, we’ll say our goodnights and part ways for the evening, undoubtedly exhausted from the day’s excursions. Sleep well, my friends, we’ve got one last adventure planned for tomorrow!
SUNDAY, JUNE 21
Rise and shine! It’s our final day of adventures together and while some of you may need to pack up and skedaddle home, those of you who are up for one last hurrah should meet in the parking lot after breakfast where we’ll fire up our engines and make our way over to Lake Geneva Country Meats for a brief pitstop to visit the famous meat market which has its own page in the Wisconsin Meat Hall of Fame (who knew?!). Proudly owned and operated by members of the founding Leahy family, these meat experts will happily fill your dinner plate for the evening, or your freezer for the month. Hopefully you remembered to bring a cooler!
Leaving the meat market, we’ll begin our thoughtfully planned and incredibly scenic drive home. With no highways in sight, we’ll meander through the breathtaking Wisconsin countryside, taking in the beauty of the rustic roads and enjoying a driving experience that only a Porsche can provide. Sit back and relax… take it all in. These are the moments every car enthusiast lives for.
We’ll round out the final leg of our drive home with a visit to Staller Estate Winery where we’ll taste some of the very best wines in Wisconsin, some of which have won international awards! Having a love for family, a passion for farming and an appreciation of the wine aesthetic, Wendy and Joe Staller have built a family farm winery that has customers returning year after year. Maybe that will be you, too?
THAT’S A WRAP… at the conclusion of the wine tasting, our time together will come to an end and we’ll go our separate ways. While there will be no driver-led route back to Madison, folks are encouraged to travel together for as long as feasible. It’s so cool to see a group of Porsches!!
